「言葉遣いがきれいな人と一緒にいると自分もきれいになるが、言葉遣いが悪い人と一緒にいると自分も悪くなる。」”When you are with people who use beautiful language, you become beautiful. But when you are with people who use bad language, you become bad.”

As part of my research, I asked native-Japanese speakers how they felt about the different formality levels and their experiences. In this response, it is made evident that language not only affects your relationships but also how you are perceived.
